Nick Medel

Nick Medel is a first-generation college student who was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, and later moved to Casa Grande, Arizona, in 2018. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Arizona State University, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Nick has gained experience in local government through his service on municipal boards and commissions for the City of Casa Grande, including the Community Services Advisory Board and the Transit Advisory Committee. His work in Casa Grande also included managing a successful voter outreach program for a local mayoral campaign and a parks and recreation bond initiative. Additionally, Nick worked as an Education Coordinator for a civic engagement nonprofit organization, where he empowered rural high school students to have a more active voice in their communities. He also gained experience through an internship with the League of Arizona Cities and Towns. Through these experiences, Nick has strengthened his passion for local government, civic engagement, and public service. He hopes to step into municipal leadership and help guide the future growth of communities across Arizona.
